We can find some information about a wine estate at the end of the 18th century.

The name of Château Batailley comes from the word "battle" which took place e, 1452 on the vines of the Castle, during the 100-year war.

During this long war, the French recaptured the Latour castle, which was occupied by the English and which marked the end of British rule in the Aquitaine region.

In 1816
Mr Daniel Guestier, owner of the Wine Trading House Barton & Guestier acquired the Estate.

In 1866
, the Chateau Batailley was sold to the banker Constant Halphen, who entrusted the management to brothers Marcel and Francis Borie who are wine merchants in the department of Corrèze.

In 1932
, the two brothers Borie, Francis and Marcel, bought the Château Batailley and divided it into two parts, Francis Borie recovers the Château Haut-Batailley and Marcel Borie preserves the estate which keeps its name of Château Batailley.

Today, the Chateau Batailley belongs to the Castéja family which runs the Borie Manoux Trading House.
